The planner

Road Trip Planner is a free tool that suggests road trip itineraries. Itineraries are written by AI and checked against map data, but they can still be wrong: places close, hours and seasons change, roads close and drive times vary. Always check hours, closures, road conditions and safety information before you travel. You're responsible for your own travel decisions.

Your account

Use an email address you own. Keep your password private. You can delete your account at any time from the My Trips page.

Fair use

Please don't misuse the site: no automated or bulk requests, no attempts to break or overload it, and no planning trips with someone else's email address without their permission. We may limit or close accounts that do.

Shared trip links

Anyone who has a saved trip's link can view it. Only share the link with people you want to see the trip.

Photos and maps

Photos come from Wikipedia (credited to their authors under their licenses) and Google Maps, and maps from Mapbox and OpenStreetMap. They belong to their owners.

No warranty

The site is provided as is, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses that come from using it.
